There are some exciting times ahead for Pacific Reef and the prawn farming industry. Production advancements, sound environmental management practices, and strong demand for our high quality product mean we are well positioned for growth.
This growth will be very important for our regional community in terms of positive economic impact and new jobs, however we understand it is very important that we engage with all stakeholders to ensure we have open communication to help shape the way we do this.
At our existing site at Alva Beach we have had numerous stakeholder groups visit to showcase our business, its achievements and innovative work. This includes the local schools, not only to explain what we do but also to form a partnership with them, as they will form the future workforce the business will be so dependent on.
We have also made presentations at various forums and meetings, and we hold a position on GBRMPA’s Burdekin/Bowen Local Marine Advisory Committee.
